The scenic views, majestic old trees, and formal gardens of the nearly 400-acre Montgomery Place make it a premier location for your outdoor wedding and reception. This serene site boasts a nationally significant romantic landscape influenced by the great Andrew Jackson Downing and an architectural landmark house designed by Alexander Jackson Davis.Montgomery Place features a significant arboretum of specimen trees, wide lawns, gardens, woodland walks, and stunning Hudson River and Catskill views. Ceremonies on the west lawn facing the river, followed by cocktails on the mansion's north pavilion all precede dinner and dancing under a tent on the east lawn. The site, which features significant electric power, is available from 4pm to 11pm. Insurance requirements require choosing from a list of selected caterers. Restrooms, golf cart transportation for handicapped guests and a changing room for the bride are available. Typical capacity is 150-200 but Montgomery Place can accommodate events with up to 350 guests.
