The ad that I chose was the New York Gazette dated September 4, 1766 "Runaway Ben."
The reason I decided to choose this ad was because it was the most clever runaway story that I read.
The process that I used in creating my artwork was by shading the light areas of the image. Then, using dark colored pastels, I shaded around the person who posed for this project.
The artwork represents to me what the people in those times went through, so I tried to show that in my artwork by showing a tear for the hardship they went through.
