Eagle Fest at Washington Irving's Sunnyside

Washington Irving's Sunnyside is participating in Teatown Lake Reservation's 2012 Eagle Fest.

 

The grounds of Sunnyside will be open to the public from 9am to 4pm (the cottage will be closed). Complimentary hot chocolate and coffee will be available and admission is FREE.

 

Besides keeping an "eagle eye" out for majestic birds soaring overhead, activities include storytelling at 11am, 1pm, and 2pm, as well as bird mask making.

 

While eagle sightings are not guaranteed, Sunnyside has at least one eagle often spotted in the site's pasture hunting for aquatic and terrestrial based meals.
