Welcome to Historic Hudson Valley's Educators Sketchbook web site. Currently, this area focuses on Sunnyside, the landmark historic home in Tarrytown, New York. Educators (K - 12) will find resources that will help them plan standards-based lessons relating to the writing and multifaceted experiences of Sunnyside's famous owner, Washington Irving --19th century American author, diplomat, traveler, lawyer, historian, amateur architect and landscape designer, family man, and employer.

Please bookmark this site as over the next year new resources will be added on other HHV landmark historic homes.  Also coming soon:  a special interactive web site for students.
