This map of the northern colonies contains an inset of an early view of Manhattan and its Dutch style architecture. On an allegorical note, enslaved Africans bear New World riches for presentation to the British king.

The prevalence of Native American and Dutch place names is evident on this early map. Many of these names are still in use today.
