Blue Hill at Stone Barns - Z

Blue Hill at Stone Barns is the Barber family's second restaurant for fine dining, their first being the well-known, highly regarded "Blue Hill," located in Greenwich Village, New York City. Their creative, prix fixe menus reflect the seasons and feature food from Hudson Valley and regional farms. In 2004, the New York Times rated this restaurant "excellent." Reservations for the restaurant (dinner only) are required. Blue Hill also runs a small, informal café for lunch and snacks. Reservations are not needed for the cafe.

Crabtree's Kittle House - Z

Excellent "Progressive American Cuisine" with award-winning wine list. The setting is a colonial style inn in a suburban neighborhood near the Readers Digest headquarters. One of the best known Westchester "destination" restaurants, Crabtree's Kittle House is expensive - but worth it. They welcome weddings and private parties, from 20 to 200 guests. Equus offers fine dining set in the luxurious surroundings of The Castle-on-the-Hudson. Prices are high, but the food, service and setting do not disappoint. The restaurant is perfect for special occasions, business meetings or romantic outings. The greenhouse features views of the Hudson River, while an interior room boasts a roaring fireplace in fall and winter. Lunch or Dinner. Groups accepted.

Located in an attractive, historic building overlooking the Hudson River, The Restaurant at Monteverde offers sophisticated dining, both indoor and outdoor. Awarded “Best View” by Westchester Magazine. Reviews, menus, and wine list are online.

The outdoor patio and air-conditioned greenhouse cafe offer lovely views of historic Philipsburg Manor. Open weekdays from 10am to 4pm. Closed Tuesdays. Set at the intersection of Route 9 and Main Street in Irvington, this restaurant looks like a brightly painted diner from the outside. Inside, however, it's clear that diner days are long past. The décor is cheerful and the food good.

Zanaro's, in downtown White Plains, occupies a what was a handsome beaux-arts bank building. Now it has been transformed into a casually elegant restaurant, a part of the Center City complex which is helping to transform the downtown. Historic Hudson Valley and Zanaro's offer a group package which includes a Kykuit tour and lunch at Zanaro's.
