Weather Policy for Legend Evening
and Great Jack O’Lantern Blaze
This event is held rain or shine. If you elect not to attend, your tickets are neither refundable nor exchangeable. In poor weather, ticket holders should consult local weather forecasts for their own area and make their own determination about whether to set out for the evening’s event.
The event may be cancelled by Historic Hudson Valley if, in its sole judgment, extreme weather or other conditions could jeopardize the safety of visitors, volunteers and staff. Generally, rain or showers would not lead us to cancel, but extremely heavy rain, thunder and lightning, very strong winds or a prediction of such conditions could force us to do so. If Historic Hudson Valley determines that conditions warrant canceling the event, we will post a message on our website and voicemail and ask local radio stations to make an announcement.
If Historic Hudson Valley cancels, we will issue automatic refunds but not exchanges to those who purchased tickets for the affected day and time. If the event is canceled by Historic Hudson Valley after it has started, refunds will be issued only to those whose ticket times were within an hour of the time of cancellation. In such a situation, Historic Hudson Valley will determine of who is eligible for a refund. Refunds may take several weeks to process. If you want to go on another night, you must purchase new tickets at any available times. We cannot guarantee availability.
Members of Historic Hudson Valley with valid tickets for a night when the event is cancelled by Historic Hudson Valley may attend on any remaining night in their original time slot. Members must bring both their member identification card and their original ticket with them or they may not be admitted.
