Chandeliers are taking shape

One of my intrepid reporters snapped these in progress shots of pumpkin chandeliers that will be lighting up the tent at Blaze 2007.

The chandeliers, which are designed by Tom Hunt, will provide a healthy bit o' pumpkin ambience in the large welcome tent outside the Blaze. I need to find out if these will be lit with electric lights or candles...

Pie Lover: Haven't seen the full menu yet but I know veggie chili is on it, along with a number of pumpkin items. Never heard of pumpkin chili!

Someone told me that there will be pumpkin chili available at the big tent, is this true?

BooWho: The tent will serve multiple purposes. Firstly, it's the entrance gate. Secondly, it's where you can munch on October-inspired chow from Geordane's, like veggie chili, hot choco, and pumpkin muffins. Thirdly, there's a Membership Desk for any Members that need help (shouldn't be too many issues since Members book in advance this year). Fourthly, there's a shop, a satellite of The Great Jack O'Lantern Blaze Shop you'll find inside the event. The one outside the event is front-loaded with glow jewlery, for obvious reasons. Fifthly, and certainly not leastly, there will be a pumpkin carving station...

Crotonbug: I tend to think so, but I'm not entirely sure what the plans on or if there will be any "formal" appearances by the artists, save for those carving pumpkins in the aforementioned pumpkin carving area. I'll find out more and post a full entry when I can.

Will the carvers and other artists that make Blaze an event be available at the Big Pumpkin Tent? I'd love to meet the guys that made the chandeliers

I am LOVING those chandeliers.....I'd have those in my home year round if they weren't perishable.
BB, good work on having your team snapping photos of in progress stuff, it makes the wait to the blaze a little more bearable!!
