How to purchase tickets online: step by step

DSC_0081WEB.jpgFirst off, if you're having difficulty, thanks for your patience trying to buy tickets online. Historic Hudson Valley is using the same software as last year (and this year for Kykuit tickets) and yes, it can seem a little confusing the first time you go through it. But it's not that tough once you get the hang of it. Here's a step-by-step primer:

1. Click on the "shop" link , which brings you to the ticket buying page, where you can buy tickets for Blaze, Legend Evenings, and Kykuit tours.

2. IF YOU ARE A MEMBER...click on the "Member login" button and (you guessed it) log in. This allows you to book Members tickets, which is a good thing because they are free. Remember, Members this year need reservations. The number of Member tickets you can buy depends on what kind of membership you hold. You can, of course, buy member and non-member tickets. Once you've logged in, the "Member login" button will change to "Logged in as Member [number]"

2a. IF YOU ARE NOT A MEMBER...ignore what I just said.

3. Next, scroll down the page and you'll see "Step 1." (There's another reminder there that if you're a member, you should log in.)

4. Click on the date that appears there, which will be today's date. Once you've done that, a calendar will appear on the right hand side of the page, allowing you to change the date.

5. Select the date on the calendar you want to come to Blaze or Legend.

6. Assuming you've selected a date when Blaze and/or Legend is taking place, you will now see those events as an option under "Step 2."

7. Click on the event you want under "Step 2."

8. Now, you'll see the various time slots that are available for that evening, and how many tickets are left.

9. Click on the time slot you want and follow the instructions from there.

It should be a piece of cake from that point on. The tricky part is dealing with the calendar. Any other questions? Post 'em here and we'll get 'em answered.

Pamela: The events aren't sold out. The site isn't having issues. Just go to the Shop page https://websales.hudsonvalley.org/ecommerce/ and follow the instructions and you'll be all set! :-)

I purchased tickets online uner my name Diana R. Santiago. I purchased two adult tickets, and two children tickets, for the legends weekend, Oct. 19 at 6:30PM. I went to checkout and it stated that the transaction did not go through for the $48.00 purchase, that I had to try again. I did. Now I am being charged twice. Please help me. I have also not received confirmation by email on the orders, but my credit card was definetly charged twice. I definetly, want only the four tickets (2 adults, 2 children), for October 19, at 6:30PM, for the legends weekend. If you should require more information please let me know.

What happened???
written by Denise, September 11, 2007 @ 03:50 PM
What happened to all the 6:30 and 7:00 pm time slots? There were hundreds yesterday, and today nothing, even on the weekdays. There's no way they could have all sold out within a day!

Hi,

I can't seem to print out the tickets. I told my friend who also purchased tickets online and she said she had the same problem. She called and was told the file was corrupted. Her tickets are being sent to her. Can the same be done for me as well. I would appreciate it.

Please email and I will give you my info.
Thank you
Josie
Member attendance

Chele: You get a fixed number of tickets depending on your membership level. For example, if you have an individual membership, that entitles you to one ticket to Blaze and one to Legend. You can, of course, buy additional tickets. The system keeps track of your member tickets based on that new card with the barcode you should have received.

Can members attend several times? Is there a limit? Really looking forward to this year's Blaze!

Have to use a U.S. zip code
written by BlazeBlogger, September 10, 2007 @ 09:17 AM
Hi Bart: It took some sleuthing, but it turns out the issue is likely that you're trying to use a non-US postal code. For our friends outside of the States, we have two suggestions. 1. Use the local address you will be staying at, or 2. Call and explain that you are from out of the country and are unable to enter your postal code.

Thanks for your patience!
