Here's what's going on with presale tickets

Greetings all...It's about 9:45 on Wednesday and the ticket system is down. Of course, this decides to happen right after last year's Blaze ticket buyers were given a presale notice.

But, don't fret, Historic Hudson Valley's self-described "head nerd" tells me he's working on it. Here's what he said:

"I was syncing some fresh tunes to my iPod (Halloween music, 'course) when the Distant Early Web Warning system alerted me to a problem with the Blaze Print@Home tickets. Since we want everyone to have tickets in all their colorful glory, I paused ticket ordering while I fix the problem. A mere glitch that will soon be put aright... Please stand by."

I'll update the blog once I know this is fixed.

Thanks for your patience everyone!

Janet: I've forwarded your issue to the Blaze Websales department and they will get right on it. Don't worry, your spot is secure. Thanks for being patient!

Hello, I just signed up for a family membership. I received a confirmation stating the amount of $100 charge to my credit card almost immeadiately. I followed the directions, disabled my web blockers and fire walls and still am not able to obtain my tickets to the October halloween events. I am a new donor to this particular organization and am hoping that it was not a mistake signing up. Please advise on how I may obtain the tickets I planned on receiving as a result of joining.

Thank you for your time and trouble.

About the "Shop" page
written by BlazeBlogger, September 05, 2007 @ 05:03 PM
Barbara (and anyone else stuck in a loop): When you get to the Shop page, you'll see Blaze and Legend and Kykuit tickets at the top with the "learn more" links. Those links bring you to general information about the event. But, if you want to actually BUY tickets, just scroll down slightly and you'll see "Step 1" and "Step 2." Click on the date there and you'll be on your way. I promise!

Direct link
written by BlazeBlogger, September 05, 2007 @ 03:55 PM
Barbara: Here's the direct link:

https://websales.hudsonvalley.org/ecommerce/

Once you're there, click on the date. It will bring up a calendar on the right hand side. Select the date you want to attend, then you will see Blaze (and Legend if it's being held that evening) under "Step 2". Click on the event you want and it shows you the times. From there it should be self-explanatory. Let me know if this helps.

I'm in a loop. i can't get to the page to purchase tickets. It keeps bringing me back to the same page over and over. Is this just because the system is busy?
Ordering tickets
written by Ann, September 05, 2007 @ 01:03 PM
I clicked on the link to order tickets, but the system is pretty confusing. Once I select the date I want only Kykuit tours comes up. Does that mean it's sold out or is there something else I need to do? Thanks!
My last night's ticket order....

Will you let us know in a second email if our order has gone through?
Notice...
written by BlazeBlogger, September 05, 2007 @ 11:10 AM
Pumpkin Fan: I'll post a new blog entry as soon as the ticket system is back up. Head Nerd just confirmed that he's made substantial progress. Before it goes back online, he needs to make sure people who ordered last night (and there were lots) actually got their tickets processed correctly. Once that's done, the whole system goes back up.

Eric: It should just be a little bit longer, then you don't have to worry about the phone.

Second notice?
written by Pumpkin Fan, September 05, 2007 @ 11:04 AM
Silly question, but will we get a second notice when the site is back up so that we can buy our presale tickets? or must we keep returning in the hopes that our pumpkin dreams will not be dashed?
Sorry about the problems but ....
written by Eric, September 05, 2007 @ 10:59 AM
I understand you are having problems but shouldn't the $2 surcharge be waived if you don't have the websales up and running?
