Ingredients

Large apples
1/4 tsp
Ground nutmeg
6 tlbs
Butter
1 1/2 cups
Sugar
3/4 tsp
Cinnamon
Instructions
Roll out the pastry to 1/8" thickness and divide into six even squares. In the middle of each square place an apple that has been peeled and cored. The apple is then filled with the pre-mixed spices, sugar and butter. Fold the pastry up and around the apple using water to seal the edges. Prick the pastry in an attractive pattern and refrigerate for at least one hour. Preheat oven for 5 minutes at 450 degrees F., and then bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown. Serve with whipped cream flavored with cognac or rum.
