Round 3 of the Blaze YouTube Video Contest is in the history books. The judges report this week's competition was the toughest yet, but, after careful deliberation, the honors - and the iPod, courtesy of WHUD Radio - goes to Jerry Stephens.

Congrats to Jerry, who took a somewhat unconventional approach to the task. Those of you who are still working on your videos, get them in by midnight Tuesday (meaning the end o' the evening Tuesday) for a chance to win an iPod touch in the FINAL week of the Blaze YouTube Video Contest.

The judges are in the midst of doing their thing, carefully choosing who has earned an iPod touch from this week's Blaze YouTube Video Contest, the THIRD given away courtesy of those Halloween-loving ghouls over at WHUD. I'm told picking a winner in this week's contest is shaping up to be the toughest choice yet.

But next week's contest - the fourth and final - should be interesting as well, as there are already entries submitted, and the deadline isn't until Tuesday at midnight. So, for all of you heading to the big Blaze this weekend - and I know there are thousands and thousands of you doing so cause tickets have been long gone for weeks and Craigslist is filled with desperate pleas - bring that camera and upload your work to YouTube.

What have you got to lose? Nothing, and what have you got to win? An iPod touch, as I hope you know by now.

Ding, ding, ding, ding...Round 2 of the Blaze YouTube Video Contest is ova! The judges have spoken (in a manner of speaking) and we have another winner.

Jerry Crisci is quite the auteur. Not only did he craft a nifty little video of the Blaze, he crafted a nifty little original soundtrack for it, too!

For his efforts, he takes home (well, not exactly "takes home," since this isn't a game show and he's already home. Or, maybe he's not home but you know what I mean) an iPod touch, courtesy of WHUD.

I don't hide the fact that I love pumpkins. Or that I love carved pumpins. And that, specifically, I'm in love with the carved pumpkins at The Great Jack O'Lantern Blaze. I mean, my blog posts dating back to July 07 offer more than enough evidence for this.

Now, I've oft been accused of having a one-track orange-hued mind and perhaps that's the case, but, consider this: Right now I'm staring at the above image of those four iPod touch (touches?) and I am giddy, giggling like a puppy romping through a pumpkin patch. Those... things... are... COOL. Sleek, button-free, multi-gig holding music and video machines. Yum yum! Apple calls them the "funnest" iPod ever and while the grown-up wordsmith in me recoils in shock, the kid in me loves the idea of having something funner.
