Kate Johnson, curator of Historic Hudson Valley and author of the recently published The Hudson-Fulton Celebration: New York's River Festival of 1909 and the Making of a Metropolis, will speak about her new book and the history of New York's centennial celebrations.
The lecture will conclude with time for audience questions.
Published by Fordham University Press, the book chronicles the grand 1909 celebrations that marked the 300th anniversary of Henry Hudson's voyage.
