Summerweek Day Camp

Washington Irving's Sunnyside
Monday, July 19, 2010
to July 23, 2010

At Summerweek History Day Camp (ages 9 - 11), children have fun while experiencing the daily life of the 18th and 19th-century. Camp counselors are experienced educators and make the camp a fun and educational experience. Enrollment begins in March and space is limited.

Sunnyside's camp program is a wonderful opportunity to learn about the 19th-century Romantic era at the homestead of Washington Irving. Campers will appreciate the famous author's love of nature and writing with activities like Design-a-Garden, sketching on the lawns, and creating their own literary works and puppet shows. Plus, enjoy leisure time activities like treasure hunts and cranking homemade ice cream.
