Visitors to this grand celebration of the environment can win one of three Fujifilm camera prizes by taking images at the event and posting them on Flickr! The festival-style River Day, which takes place from 12-6, is devoted to the history and ecology of the area's watershed.

River Day includes two theatrical performances: Arm-of-the-Sea at 2pm and Hudson River Ramblers at 3pm. 

Take a boat-ride and celebrate our relationship to the river in the late 18th and early 19th centuries. Hands-on activities include fishing, hearth cooking, and brick making, plus modern boat building with several organizations. Visitors can enjoy on-water opportunities, music, picnic food, and storytelling.

SavATree will be offering a wood-sawing activity throughout the day.

Everyone who attends may enter the photo contest. Winning images will be those that best capture the event and Van Cortlandt Manor. Your photos may include visitors, interpreters, activities, buildings, and landscape, and should provide context of the event and site. Three cameras will be given away as prizes: A Fujifilm FinePix HS-10, and two Fujifilm FinePix Z700EXR.
